The Fortress Diagnostics Uric Acid in vitro test is intended for the quantitative determination of urea in human serum, plasma and urine. The format, range and working stability varies with each uric acid assay, to request an assay IFU contact info@fortressdiagnostics.com. 

Increased uric acid concentrations may be as a result of overproduction of urate or defective elimination of same.  It is commonly associated with gout, decreased renal function and dehydration although there are many other less common conditions where levels can be elevated.
