Febrile Antigen

Febrile Antigen

Febrile Antigens are stained bacterial antigen suspensions used to identify and measure antibodies, following infection. The bacteria causes the body to produce antibodies in response to the pathogen created. When the test serum sample is mixed with a febrile antigen, the solution will agglutinate if antibodies are present, thus indicating infection is present.

The Fortress Diagnostics' range of febrile antigens can be used either as a screening test or as a confirmatory test.  These tests work to identify antibodies produced by infection.
